About us
Eco Griham is a collaborative initiative to build sustainable and conscious communities near Auroville. The green homes by earthen trails are built by local artisans using traditional and eco-friendly techniques.
Foundation
We grew up doing 20 hours of sports at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry, and spent a lot of time outdoors: playing, hiking and cycling. The love for nature, the aspiration for a healthy lifestyle, a sense of community and belonging, and a joie-de-vivre were our foundation from childhood. This is what inspired us to build Eco Griham.

Building blocks
Mud bricks, rammed earth, fly-ash bricks, exposed concrete, zero VOC paints. solar panels, greywater recycling system, sewage treatment plant, rainwater harvesting on large terraces, double-glazed windows, reclaimed wood and oxide flooring, living spaces with ample daylight and cross-ventilation.

Our Story
Having grown up at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram Pondicherry, we’ve been visiting Auroville since our childhood. We were fascinated by this magical experiment in human unity, the lush green forests, the mud trails, sports facilities, the quality of air, and the quest for perfection. It is undoubtedly an oasis of creativity and talent where people from all over the world strive to live consciously.
This international township has been a pioneer in sustainable architecture and has churned out young budding entrepreneurs and craftsmen. This is what inspired us to found Eco Griham, build differently, and offer purposeful spaces that elevate the quality of life.
